Alaa Abdelfattah
Alaa Abdelfattah is a blogger and a human rights defender who is an eminent figure of the Egyptian revolution. He was arrested 4 years between February 2015 and March 2019 and then released provisionally. Six months later, the Egyptian authorities imprisoned him again along with 20 journalists during a wave of arrests known as the “21-September campaign”. Last year, Alaa Abdelfattah went on a hunger strike for 36 days. Today, his name has been placed on a list of terrorists and his sister has also been imprisoned.
