Tam Tak-chi is vice-president of the People Power party and a former radio host. He took a leading supporting role in the 2014 Occupy Central movement. He won an unofficial primary poll organised by the opposition to select candidates for the Legislative Council vote in Hong Kong in July 2020.
He is facing 14 charges which include seven counts of uttering seditious words and a related conspiracy charge. The remaining charges relate to public order or alleged violations of social distancing rules introduced during the pandemic.
Currently charged under incitement to knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly, holding or convening an unauthorized assembly and uttering seditious words.
